❄️ Annual Women-Led Backcountry Ski Hut Trip
An inclusive, sometimes educational, and adventure-filled backcountry ski experience in the Cascade Mountains.
Each winter, a group of 30–40 backcountry skiers and splitboarders of all skill levels come together for a multi-day hut-based adventure designed to build skills, confidence, and connection in the mountains.
This annual trip is open to all who are excited about backcountry travel and want to be part of a welcoming, supportive, and slightly irreverent community of mountain lovers—dogs included.

A few surprise competitions & prizes (think friendly chaos meets ski patrol meets summer camp)
🧭 THE Mission
This isn’t just a ski trip—it’s a chance to grow your mountain skills and confidence while making real connections in a low-pressure, high-stoke environment.
While we love big lines and powder days, this trip prioritizes:
Community over competition
Education over ego
Empowerment through experience
We aim to make the backcountry more accessible and welcoming.
⛑ Safety, With a Side of Sass
Safety is a core part of the experience—but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Last year we integrated creative drills to sharpen essential skills like:
Beacon use
Probe and shovel deployment
Group communication
Terrain assessment
Led from the lens of an emergency medical responder, these sessions are crafted to be realistic, empowering, and memorable—with an extra dose of humor and team spirit.
🏔 Who Should Join?
This trip is a great fit for:
Backcountry-curious folks looking for their first hut trip
Seasoned skiers who want a refresh on safety skills
People who love the idea of skiing hard and saunaing even harder with new friends
Dog parents who don’t want to leave their trail buddy behind (well-behaved dogs welcome!)
📬 Stay in the Loop
We run this trip once a year, typically between February and April. Spots are limited and tend to fill quickly.

Please note: This is an unguided and unassisted trip.
This is not a guided experience—there are no instructors, no hired professionals, and no provided services beyond lodging. All learning opportunities are entirely community-based and peer-supported. We believe in building skills together and creating space for folks of all levels to grow in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
New to touring? You’re welcome to hang around camp, test out your gear on the cat track, or spend the day reading by the fire and enjoying the sauna. If you plan to travel into avalanche terrain, you must have proper avalanche rescue training from a certified professional, the appropriate safety equipment and knowledge of how to use it. Safety is your own responsibility, and all travel decisions should be made individually and thoughtfully.
